MY PROCESS

"Self-taught and process-driven, my art reveals surprises, textures, and the joy of creative exploration."

I find inspiration in intuition, allowing each brushstroke to be a spontaneous response. Rooted in non-representational form, my works evolve from random marks, through techniques like sanding, scraping, and layering thick paint and thin washes of colour.

Embracing the surprises of being a process painter, I revel in the simple joy of painting, building layers with the quick-drying nature of acrylics. The canvas becomes a playground for exploration, facilitating the flow of elements as directions change.

"I practice painting intuitively, allowing my emotions to guide the movements of my brush"

I draw joy from the freedom of laying down paint without boundaries, turning my creative process into a puzzle of shapes, lines, colors, and textures. A self-taught painter, I don't paint what I see but the impressions and emotions evoked by the process.

In my approach, I apply numerous layers of acrylic paint, using water to thin and manipulate the medium. The layering technique involves sanding and scraping, revealing depth, texture, and the history embedded in prior layers of paint.
