DEDICATION
36” x 48”
Acrylic and Mixed Media on Canvas - Ready to hang.
“Dedication” is a large 48”x60” piece that began in 2010, marking the start of my exploration into layering and texture. Over the years, this painting has been a place where I’ve practiced many techniques that I still use today. Finishing this piece was a challenge because I became attached to certain areas, afraid to lose them. It wasn't until I embraced the idea of letting go that the painting truly came together. The blue swirls, once covering the whole canvas, now appear boldly in some areas and subtly in others. A once orange background, is now only visible in small scraped-back sections. After 13 years, this painting symbolizes persistence and growth, reminding me to face artistic fears and move through creative blocks.
